Description

Following trespassers on the railway between Reading and Newbury, the line has now reopened. As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 10:00.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:

  • Reading Buses jetBlack 1 between Reading and Newbury in both directions: Reading (Station), Theale (The Crown), Aldermaston, Midgham, Thatcham (Cropper Close), Newbury (Wharf)

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
