Heathrow Express between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5

Description

Following a fault with the signalling system at West Ealing all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains running between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / Reading may still be delayed by up to 50 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Major disruption is expected until 18:15.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following service at no extra cost until further notice:

  • Docklands Light Railway via any reasonable route

  • Great Western Railway via any reasonable route

  • Heathrow Express via any reasonable route

  • London Buses / Local buses via any reasonable route

  • London Underground via any reasonable route

  • Southeastern via any reasonable route

  • South Western Railway via any reasonable route

  • Thameslink via any reasonable route

Service alterations:

  • Only four trains an hour will run West of London Paddington

  • Two trains an hour will run between Abbey Wood and Reading / Heathrow Terminal 4

  • Trains between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Maidenhead will only run between Abbey Wood and London Paddington

  • Services between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5 will only run between Shenfield and London Paddington

  • All other services will run as booked

Alternative travel advice:

Whilst this disruption is ongoing, buses are a simple and direct alternative. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the below bus operators:

  • From Ealing Broadway: 207, 427 → Paddington corridor

  • From Southall / Hayes & Harlington / West Drayton: 140 → Ealing Broadway or Heathrow

Travel towards Ealing Broadway or major interchanges for onward journeys.

You can continue to Central London via connecting buses or the London Underground.


Heathrow terminals

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following London Bus routes to help you travel to and from Heathrow Airport:

  • Local buses: 111, 105, 140, 285, 423 → local destinations

  • SL7: orbital route across London

If you are in Central London, travel to Hammersmith or Ealing Broadway first, then continue by bus or Underground.
