Description

Engineering work is taking place between Knottingley and Wakefield, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 22:31 Sheffield to Leeds service will not call at Castleford. A replacement bus will be provided from Normanton to Leeds, calling at Castleford and Woodlesford.
  • The 22:50 Leeds to Knottingley service will terminate at Wakefield Kirkgate. A replacement bus will run from Wakefield Kirkgate to Knottingley.
  • The 23:16 Leeds to Knottingley service will terminate at Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Castleford to Knottingley.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 05:25 Leeds to Knottingley service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
  • The 05:47 Leeds to Knottingley service will start from Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Leeds to Castleford, departing Leeds at 05:20 in order to connect with the train.
  • The 06:12 Knottingley to Leeds service will start from Castleford. A replacement bus will run from Knottingley to Castleford, departing Knottingley at 05:55 in order to connect with the train. A second bus will run from Knottingley at 06:25 to Castleford.
