Converted from a WWII airfield and farm, Silverstone held its first race on the 2nd October 1948 an estimated 100,000 people came to attend the race.

What's happening with the trains?

Virgin trains are running a dedicated service on Sunday 14th July to Milton Keynes and Banbury, then a coach transfer to Silverstone. Coach service available through event holders website.

Chiltern Railway will run services on Sunday 14th July from Birmingham New Street, Warwick Parkway and Beaconsfield. Coaches will be in place to transfer passengers to Silverstone.
