Engineering work is taking place between Frome and Castle Cary, and between Castle Cary and Yeovil Pen Mill, closing all lines.

London Paddington - Exeter St Davids / Plymouth / Penzance

Many trains will depart London Paddington approximately 30 minutes EARLIER than normal.

Most trains will be diverted via a different route:

  • Either between Reading and Taunton (via Bristol Temple Meads), and will not be able to call at Newbury, Pewsey, Westbury and Castle Cary;
  • Or will be diverted between Westbury and Taunton (via Bristol Temple Meads), and will not call at Castle Cary.

There will also be a number of fully cancelled, or part-cancelled trains, so please check your journey before travelling.

A limited bus service will run between Westbury and Castle Cary, and between Castle Cary and Taunton.

Bristol Temple Meads - Weymouth

Buses will replace trains between Frome and Yeovil Pen Mill, taking approximately 75 minutes. There will also be some fast buses between Westbury and Castle Cary, taking 45 minutes.

Trains will run between Yeovil Pen Mill and Weymouth. If you are travelling from Weymouth, you will need to depart earlier than normal.
