Trains between Aberdeen and Inverurie / Inverness

The Aberdeen - Inverness Improvement Project is taking place over the course of a number of weeks, closing all lines between Dyce and Inverurie.

Saturday 15 June until Friday 9 August (8 weeks):

Buses will replace trains between Dyce and Huntly.

Saturday 10 until Monday 12 August (3 days):

Buses will replace trains between Aberdeen and Inverness.

Tuesday 13 until Monday 19 August (7 days):

Buses will replace trains between Aberdeen and Huntly.

Project information:

The Aberdeen – Inverness Improvement Project is a Scottish Government funded project to upgrade the railway infrastructure between Aberdeen and Inverness.

The project, which will be delivered in phases, will provide incremental benefits throughout the life of the scheme. Phase one of the project aims to deliver enhanced commuter services into each city and to facilitate the capacity for new stations at Kintore and Inverness Airport.
