Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn / Penzance

Engineering work is taking place between Reading West and Bedwyn, closing all lines until 10:00 on Sunday.

Long Distance services:

The 09:03 London Paddington to Penzance service will depart earlier than usual at 08:59, and will be diverted between Reading and Westbury, not calling at Newbury. Customers to / from Newbury should use replacement buses to / from Reading.

Local services:

  • The 08:12 Reading to Newbury service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
  • The 08:42 Reading to Bedwyn service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
  • The 08:48 Newbury to London Paddington service will start from Reading. Replacement buses will run from Newbury at 08:25 and 08:48 from Newbury to Reading.
  • The 09:07 London Paddington to Bedwyn service will depart at 09:22, and will terminate at Newbury. A replacement bus will run between Newbury and Bedwyn.
  • The 09:45 and 10:54 Bedwyn to London Paddington services will start from Newbury. Earlier road transport will run from Bedwyn to Newbury to connect with these trains.
