Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Swansea / Carmarthen / Pembroke Dock and between Portsmouth Harbour and Cardiff Central

Transport for Wales between Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff Central / Milford Haven / Pembroke Dock, Hereford and Barry Island, Gloucester and Maesteg, Radyr and Coryton and between Ebbw Vale Town and Cardiff Central

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Newport and Cardiff Central closing 2 out of 4 lines.

Both days trains will be retimed between Newport and Cardiff Central to run earlier / later by up to 10 minutes and the following alterations will also apply:

Great Western Railway

Trains from London Paddington to Swansea / Carmarthen / Pembroke Dock will have journey times extended by up to 5 minutes after leaving Newport.

Trains from Pembroke Dock / Carmarthen / Swansea to London Paddington will depart stations to Bridgend 10 minutes earlier than normal and will be diverted via, but not calling at Ninian Park. 

Some trains will not run between Newport and Cardiff Central. Customers should use other trains between Newport and Cardiff Central to complete their journey.

The 06:59 Swansea to London Paddington will start from Bristol Parkway. Customers should use alternative trains between Swansea and Bristol Parkway to connect with the train.

Transport for Wales

Trains between Holyhead and Cardiff Central will run between Holyhead and Shrewsbury only. Customers should use alternative trains between Shrewsbury and Cardiff Central.
