Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Newport area, closing some lines overnight on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Great Western Railway:

Saturday:

  • The 22:00 London Paddington to Cardiff Central service will terminate at Newport. A replacement bus will run between Newport and Cardiff Central.

Sunday:

  • The 08:05 Cardiff Central to London Paddington service will start from Newport at 08:23. A replacement bus will run from Cardiff Central at 07:43 to connect with this train.

Transport for Wales:

Saturday:

  • The 19:10 Milford Haven to Hereford service will terminate at Cardiff Central. Customers travelling towards Hereford should change at Cardiff Central for the 21:54 Cardiff Central to Hereford service.
  • The 22:18 Maesteg to Gloucester service will terminate at Newport. A replacement bus will run between Newport and Gloucester.
  • The 23:09 Gloucester to Cardiff Central service will run earlier than usual, leaving Gloucester at 22:32. A replacement bus will run from Gloucester at 23:09 to Cardiff Central.
  • The 23:15 Hereford to Cardiff Central service will be replaced by a bus.

Sunday:

  • The 07:38 Cardiff Central to Ebbw Vale Town service will start from Pye Corner at 07:58. A replacement bus will run from Cardiff Central at 07:18 to Pye Corner to connect with the train.
