Great Western Railway: all routes to / from London Paddington, and between Maidenhead and Marlow and between Twyford and Henley-on-Thames

Engineering work is taking place at various locations between London Paddington and Reading closing 2 out of 4 lines.

Great Western Railway

Most trains to / from London Paddington will run to a revised timetable, calling points may be amended, added / removed, from the normal timetable. 

The following alterations will also apply:


From 22:50 Saturday to 10:00 Sunday and from 22:00 Sunday, trains will not call at Pangbourne. Customers should travel via Tilehurst for a connecting bus service.

Burnham and Taplow

Trains will not call at Burnham or Taplow. Customers should travel via Slough for a connecting bus service. Customers please note on Sunday, buses will not call at Taplow as there is normally no service.


As a result of this engineering work and additional engineering work between Maidenhead and Bourne End, buses will replace trains between Maidenhead and Marlow.


Most trains to / from Henley-on-Thames will be retimed to connect with main line trains at Twyford.
