Virgin Trains between London Euston and Preston

Engineering work is taking place between Acton Bridge and Warrington Bank Quay, closing all lines overnight from Saturday evening until Sunday morning.


The 20:31 London Euston to Preston service is diverted after Crewe to run via Stockport and Bolton, not calling at Warrington Bank Quay or Wigan North Western. A replacement bus will run from Crewe to Wigan North Western, calling at Warrington Bank Quay.


The 09:00 Preston to London Euston service will start from Crewe at 09:43. One replacement bus will run from Preston at 07:10, calling at Wigan North Western and Warrington Bank Quay and connecting with this train. Another bus will run from Preston at 08:05, calling at Crewe only and also connecting with this train.
