East Midlands Trains to continue running trains during industrial action today

Description

RMT have announced their intent to carry out industrial action today, Saturday 17 August.

Trains to and from London St Pancras International will not be impacted and will run as planned. Whilst services will continue to run on the majority of local routes, there will be revised timetables and replacement coach services on some routes.

How will this affect train services?

London - Nottingham - Leicester - Sheffield

Services on this route are not affected by the Industrial Action.

Derby - Matlock

This service will operate at a reduced frequency of one train every two hours. Please see here for the amended timetable.

Derby - Stoke-on-Trent - Crewe

A near normal service will be in operation, the following services will NOT run:
07:07 Crewe to Derby
08:42 Derby to Crewe
10:07 Crewe to Derby

Nottingham - Grantham - Skegness

A near normal service will run on this route including the additional summer Saturday 8 coach HST services.

Ticket acceptance is in place with LNER via any reasonable route. Please see here for the amended timetable.

Liverpool Lime Street - Nottingham - Norwich

East Midlands Trains will not run between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester.

A train service will operate between Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham, however, there is a reduction to one train every two hours. Ticket acceptance is in place with Northern and TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly / Sheffield

East Midlands Trains will not run between Nottingham and Norwich. Ticket acceptance is in place with LNER between Grantham and Peterborough, Greater Anglia between Peterborough / Ely and Norwich and CrossCountry between Peterborough and Ely.

Nottingham - Mansfield - Worksop

A reduced service will run between Nottingham and Mansfield Woodhouse. Replacement coaches will run between Mansfield Woodhouse and Worksop. Ticket acceptance is in place with LNER and Northern on any reasonable route. Please see here for the amended timetable.

Newstead: Passengers who are coming to Newstead from the Nottingham direction should travel on to Kirkby-in-Ashfield and await the next southbound service. Passengers from Newstead wishing to travel north should board a southbound train as far as Hucknall to connect with the next northbound train (about a 10 minute connection).

Bulwell: Passengers who are travelling from the Mansfield area should join a Southbound train as far as Nottingham and change for the next northbound service.

Doncaster - Lincoln - Peterborough

Replacement coaches will run on this route.

Lincoln - Grimsby - Cleethorpes

A train service will be operating between Lincoln and Nottingham and a replacement bus service will operate between Grimsby and Lincoln. A replacement bus service will also operate between Newark Castle and Newark North Gate. Please see here for the amended timetable.

Leicester - Nottingham (serving intermediate stations)

Replacement coaches will run calling at Syston, Sileby and Barrow-upon-Soar. Please note that direct trains will still run between Leicester, Loughborough, Beeston and Nottingham as part of the London - Nottingham route. Please see here for the amended timetable.

Derby - Nottingham - Newark Castle

East Midlands Trains will be operating a near normal service between Lincoln Central and Newark Castle. This service will operate at one service an hour.

A replacement bus service will operate between Newark Castle and Newark North Gate.
