Engineering work is taking place between Widdrington and Chathill, closing all lines.
As a result of this, the following alterations will apply:
CrossCountry
Trains will be amended to start / terminate at Morpeth. Replacement buses will run between Morpeth and stations to Edinburgh.
LNER
An hourly service will run to / from Scotland via Carlisle, extending journey times by up to 90 minutes. Other services between London Kings Cross and Scotland will be amended to run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle only.
Customers for stations between Newcastle and Edinburgh should use CrossCountry replacement buses.
Northern
Trains between Newcastle and Chathill will start / terminate from Morpeth, buses will run between Morpeth and Chathill.
ScotRail
Buses replace trains between Dunbar and Edinburgh.
