Description

Engineering work is taking place between Severn Tunnel Junction / Yate and Swindon / Bristol Temple Meads, closing various lines.

CrossCountry:

Trains will not call at Bristol Parkway and will be diverted via alternative routes. This will extend journey times by up to 60 minutes.

Rail replacement buses will also operate on the following routes:

  • between Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads
  • between Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham Spa
  • between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton (early morning Saturday only)
  • between Bristol Temple Meads and Gloucester (early morning Saturday only)

Great Western Railway:

Trains will not operate between Yate and Bristol Temple Meads and will be diverted via alternative routes.

An hourly rail replacement bus service will operate between the following stations:

  • Yate and Bristol Temple Meads calling at Bristol Parkway and Filton Abbey Wood
  • Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads (direct)
  • Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads calling at Filton Abbey Wood, Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill
  • Swindon and Bristol Parkway
  • Newport and Bristol Parkway

Some early morning / late evening buses will be extended to run to / from Gloucester calling at Cam & Dursley.

Trains between Bristol Parkway and Weston-Super-Mare and beyond will be amended to start / terminate at Bristol Temple Meads.

Trains operating in the affected area may be revised, cancelled or diverted via alternative routes.
