The concluding Flat meeting of the 2019 season kicks off with an afternoon of typically competitive Flat racing. Enjoy a seven race card of engrossing action in a relaxed atmosphere.

Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire is conveniently situated in the centre of Southern England. The racecourse has its own railway station:

What's happening with the trains?

Great Western Railway will be running an amended timetable for the event. During peak times of the event, a half-hourly service from Reading to Newbury Racecourse will be provided by extending Paddington to Reading stopping service to Newbury, these will be formed by 8 car trains. In addition to the half-hourly 8 car trains the following services will call additionally at Newbury Racecourse:

  • 10:07 Paddington to Bedwyn
  • 11:07 Paddington to Bedwyn
  • 12:07 Paddington to Bedwyn
  • 10:41 Bedwyn to Paddington
  • 11:41 Bedwyn to Paddington 
  • 12:41 Bedwyn to Paddington
  • 17:07 Paddington to Bedwyn
  • 18:07 Paddington to Bedwyn
  • 17:41 Bedwyn to Paddington
  • 18:41 Bedwyn to Paddington
For non-event customers, the advice is to try and travel outside of the 'peak' event times where possible. Please be aware that crowd control arrangements may be in place at Newbury Racecourse Station. You may be asked to wait outside of the station until it is safe to go onto the platforms. For passengers using the footbridge to access Hambridge Road for the racecourse after the event should also be informed that for safety reasons access to the platforms and footbridge may also be closed. Customers may be asked to use the alternative bridge by the main entrance to the racecourse.
