Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Ashton-under-Lyne, closing all lines.


Buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge.

TransPennine Express:

An amended timetable will be in operation across much of the TransPennine Express network.

Services between Liverpool Lime Street and Leeds / York / Newcastle / Edinburgh (via Newcastle) will only run between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Victoria, at an amended frequency.

Services that usually East - West will run via Manchester Piccadilly instead of Manchester Victoria, and many will additionally call at Stalybridge.

Customers should also be aware that work is taking place between Sheffield and Manchester, and also between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.
