The Open 2020

Sunday 12 to Sunday 19 July 2020

Championship days: Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 July

The 149th Open golf championship will be played from 12-19 July 2020 at Royal St George’s Golf Club, located in Sandwich, on the south coast of Kent in England. There are practice days from Sunday 12 to Wednesday 15 July before the four day tournament starts on Thursday 16 July.

The historic links at Royal St George’s has seen some of golf’s greatest players lift the Claret Jug including Sandy Lyle and Greg Norman, who secured a two-shot victory over Sir Nick Faldo in 1993. The signature 6th hole known as ‘The Maiden’ has been the scene of heartache and glory over the years and is sure to remain a special viewing spot for spectators.
