Engineering work is taking place between Eastleigh and St Denys all weekend, this work is extended to Basingstoke on Sunday, closing all lines.


Trains will divert not to call at Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway. Journey times will be extended by approximately 45 minutes. Customers should use South Western Railway trains / replacement road transport between Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway. 

Great Western Railway

On Saturday, the 21:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Westbury service will be diverted between Fareham and Southampton Central, not calling at Eastleigh or Southampton Airport Parkway. The train will depart Southampton Central at the normal time for this service.

Customers to / from Eastleigh / Southampton Central should use alternative services.

South Western Railway

Buses will replace trains between:


  • Eastleigh and Southampton Central.
  • Romsey and Southampton Central.


  • Basingstoke and Southampton Central.
  • Romsey and Southampton Central.
  • Basingstoke and Fareham.
