Description

Due to the ongoing major improvement work in the London Kings Cross area, all lines will be closed to / from London Kings Cross. Further information regarding this major upgrade can be found here.

As a result, over the weekend there will be NO trains to / from London Kings Cross. Therefore, customers are advised NOT to travel. to / from London Kings Cross.

Grand Central:

There will be no Grand Central service between Sunderland / Bradford Interchange and London Kings Cross throughout the weekend. There is no alternative replacement transport or ticket acceptance.

Hull Trains:

Hull Trains will be running a limited service to / from Hull. As yet the full details have yet to be confirmed.

LNER:

There will be no LNER trains between St Neots and London Kings Cross. Three trains per hour will run to / from St Neots serving Newcastle, Leeds and Scotland.

Other trains will terminate at other locations or cancelled.

At present, there is no alternative transport between St Neots and London Kings Cross.

Great Northern / Thameslink:

Trains that usually run between Peterborough / Cambridge and Horsham / Brighton will be amended to run between London Bridge and Horsham / Brighton only. Customers should use alternative Thameslink services via St Albans, and London Underground services between Turnpike Lane / High Barnet and London.

Customers travelling between Kings Lynn and London should use Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge, and Great Northern services between Cambridge and Kings Lynn.

Saturday:

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Potters Bar and St Albans.
  • Gordon Hill and Turnpike Lane (London Underground).
  • New Barnet and High Barnet.

Train services will run between Welwyn Garden City and New Barnet, between Stevenage and Gordon Hill via Hertford North, between Potters Bar and Peterborough / Cambridge, and also between Cambridge and Kings Lynn.

Sunday:

Replacement buses will run all day between:

  • Potters Bar and St Albans.
  • New Barnet and High Barnet.

Before 09:40:

No trains will run between Stevenage and Gordon Hill via Hertford North.

Replacement buses will run between Stevenage and Hertford North, and also between Hertford North and Turnpike Lane.
