Description

Engineering work, part of the East Coast Upgrade, is taking place in the London Kings Cross area.

All lines are currently closed to / from London Kings Cross, as well as the lines to / from Moorgate and London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park.

Grand Central:

There are no Grand Central services running today.

Great Northern and Thameslink:

We strongly advise that you not to travel to or from London this weekend.

No trains will run between St Neots and London Kings Cross. There are also no trains to or from Moorgate or London St Pancras International (via Finsbury Park), so we are therefore advising people not to travel.

A shuttle train service will operate between Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar.

A limited replacement bus service will run between:

  • St Neots and Bedford
  • St Neots and Hitchin
  • Letchworth Garden City and Welwyn Garden City
  • Stevenage and Luton Airport Parkway
  • Potters Bar and St Albans
  • Potters Bar and Cockfosters (Underground station) via Hadley Wood
  • Stevenage and Alexandra Palace via Hertford North

Queueing systems will be in place at stations and all journey times will be extended.

You can use Thameslink services between Bedford / Luton Airport Parkway / St Albans and London St Pancras International.

You can also use London Underground services between Cockfosters and London Kings Cross / Moorgate, and between Bounds Green and London Kings Cross / Moorgate (change at Bowes Park for Bounds Green).

Hull Trains:

There are no Hull Trains services running today.

LNER:

You must have a seat reservation to travel on LNER trains and you are advised not to travel into London.

There will be no trains between St Neots and London Kings Cross with trains running to either St Neots or Peterborough. An amended timetable will be in operation, with some trains cancelled.

Replacement buses will run between St Neots and Bedford, for Thameslink connections to / from London.
