Description

Engineering work, part of the East Coast Upgrade, is continuing throughout 2021, closing all lines to and from the station on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday 4 June:

No trains will run to / from London Kings Cross or London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park from the early afternoon.

Engineering work is also taking place just north of Peterborough. Many customers will need to use a rail replacement bus for part of their journey. 

Grand Central train services run to / from Finsbury Park instead of to / from London Kings Cross. Customers can use valid tickets on London Underground services between Finsbury Park and Kings Cross.

Hull Trains will run a reduced and amended timetable to / from London Kings Cross before 12:00. After 12:00, no trains will run.

LNER train services after 13:50 will terminate at Peterborough / St Neots instead of London Kings Cross. After 13:50, replacement buses will run between St Neots and Bedford, connecting with Thameslink services to / from London. More information to follow.

Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 June:

No trains will run to / from London Kings Cross or London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park.

No LNER trains will run between Grantham and Peterborough, due to the work taking place north of Peterborough. LNER will run an hour service between:

  • Scotland / Newcastle and Grantham.
  • Leeds and Grantham.
  • Scotland / Newcastle and Doncaster.

Replacement buses will run between St Neots and Bedford, connecting with Thameslink services to / from London. Full details of the effects of this work are not yet known, and more information will be published in due course.

No Grand Central train services will run.

Information on the effects of this closure on Great Northern and Thameslink will follow closer to the time.

Customers should be aware that there will be major engineering work in the London Kings Cross area from 26 February to the 6 June inclusive, more information on this can be found here.
