Description

Engineering work is taking place between Basingstoke and St Denys / Reading, resulting in the closure of some lines.

CrossCountry

Trains will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway.

Rail replacement road transport will be in place between Reading and Winchester, also calling at Basingstoke.

Journey times will be extended by 1 hour.

South Western Railway

Buses will run between:

  • Basingstoke and Southampton Central.
  • Basingstoke and Fareham.
  • Basingstoke and Salisbury.
  • Romsey and Southampton Central.

 

Trains between Reading and Salisbury will not run.

The 35 minutes past London Waterloo to Weymouth service will now depart at 54 minutes past. This service will be diverted via Havant and will call additionally at Guildford and Fareham.

Trains between London Waterloo and Poole will now run between Southampton and Poole.

Trains between Southampton and Portsmouth & Southsea will now run between Southampton and Portsmouth Harbour.

Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter will now run between Salisbury and Exeter.

The 48 minutes past Weymouth to London Waterloo will divert via Havant and call additionally at Guildford and Fareham.

The following additional services will run:

  • 15 & 35 minutes past London Waterloo to Basingstoke.
  • 4 & 20 minutes past Basingstoke to London Waterloo.
