The Engineering work scheduled to take place between Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford has been cancelled, trains will now run normally on this route.

Avanti West Coast:

Until 14:00, all services between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly will operate via Stafford / Crewe / Wilmslow. From 14:00 onwards, trains that would normally operate via Stoke-on-Trent will do so, but with extended journey times.

A replacement bus service will run between Stafford and Macclesfield, calling at Stoke-on-Trent.


Before 14:00, buses will replace trains between Wilmslow and Stafford via Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

London Northwestern Railway:

Until 14:00, services between Crewe and Birmingham New Street (via Stoke-on-Trent) will depart from Crewe up to 26 minutes later / arrive at Crewe 23 minutes earlier and will be diverted between Crewe and Stafford - not calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent & Stone.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Crewe and Stafford, calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent and Stone.

Additionally, the 09:16 Stafford to Crewe service will not run.
