Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Winchester, closing all lines.


Trains will be diverted to an alternative route, extending journey times by up to 45 minutes.

On Saturday, diverted trains will not call at Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway.

On Sunday, buses will replace trains between Reading and Basingstoke / Winchester. Diverted trains will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway. 

Great Western Railway:

No Great Western Railway services are affected on Saturday.


Buses will replace trains between Reading and Basingstoke.

Trains between Reading and Redhill will be retimed by a few minutes in order to accommodate diverted CrossCountry services.

South Western Railway:


Buses will replace trains between Eastleigh and Southampton Central.
