Major improvement works on the track, tunnels and overhead line is taking place in the Anderston area, closing access to / from the station.

Following the reopening of the line between Partick and Rutherglen and the subsequent reinstatement of trains via Glasgow Central Low Level on Monday 9 May, Anderston station will remain closed for a further four weeks.

This is because the necessary improvement works to the station could not be undertaken at the same time as the work on the track and tunnels.

Between Monday 9 May and Sunday 5 June inclusive, trains will operate as per the normal timetable but will pass through Anderston station without stopping. In addition, during this period, the 17:37 Anderston – Carstairs service will start forward from Glasgow Central Low Level at 17:40.

Alternative travel advice if you are going to or from Anderston station can be found on ScotRail's website here.

Anderston station will reopen for passengers from Monday 6 June.
