Bishop's Stortford is a historic market town in Hertfordshire, it borders with Essex and it is located nearby London Stansted Airport. The town is situated 27 miles (43 km) north east of London Charing Cross and 35 miles (56 km) by rail from Liverpool Street Station.  The town centre is immediately to the north of the station across the River Stort. The town offers to its citizens and visitors Jackson Square shopping centre. On Sundays these train services are reduced.
