Fife Council Concessionary Travel Scheme

Discounted concessionary travel is available in the Fife area.

Overview

On presentation of your concessionary travel card (myfife) at Scotrail ticket offices or on the train you will pay a £1.00 fare for a single journey or £2.00 fare for a return journey.

The number of journeys you can make is unlimited.

Aberdour, Burntisland, Cardenden, Cowdenbeath, Cupar, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline Queen Margaret, Dunfermline Town, Glentothes with Thornton, Inverkeithing, Kinghorn, Kirkcaldy, Ladybank, Leuchars, Lochgelly, Markinch, North Queensferry, Rosyth and Springfield.

Restrictions

Concessionary tickets are only valid on day of purchase and may only be made during off peak times. Your concessionary ticket must be purchased before boarding your train if the station’s ticket office is open.

Concessionary tickets can only be issued on the train to customers who join at unmanned stations, or where the booking office is closed. On-train staff are otherwise obliged to charge the full standard fare if a ticket is not purchased before boarding.

You can only use a combination of tickets for your journey if the train calls at the station in Fife where you move from one ticket to the other.
