Buses replace trains between Wigan Wallgate and Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly via Bolton / Atherton on some dates between Saturday 6 January and Sunday 24 March

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate via both Bolton and Atherton, closing all lines on various dates.

Northern:

Buses replace trains between Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly and Wigan Wallgate via Atherton and also via Bolton on the following dates:

6 / 7 / 13 / 14 / 20 / 21 / 27 / 28 January.

3 / 4 / 10 / 11 / 18 / 24 / 25 February.

3 / 10 / 17 / 24 March.

Buses will replace trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Wigan Wallgate via Bolton from 12 - 16 February. On these dates, trains will continue to run via Atherton.

Buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate via Atherton on 17 February. On this day, trains will continue to run via Bolton.

TransPennine Express:

Saturdays and Sundays only:

On the following dates, buses will replace trains between Manchester Airport and Preston:

20 / 21 / 27 / 28 January.

3 / 4 / 10 / 11 February.

A very limited number of trains will run between Manchester and Preston via Wigan North Western.
