Major engineering work is taking place to electrify the Gospel Oak to Barking route, closing all lines.

No trains will run between Gospel Oak and Barking until Sunday 14 January.

Buses will run between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters, calling at Upper Holloway, Crouch Hill, Finsbury Park and Harringay Green Lanes.

Buses will also run between Walthamstow Central and Barking, calling at Leyton Midland Road, Leytonstone High Road, Wanstead Park, Woodgrange Park and East Ham Tube Station.

You should use local buses between South Tottenham and Walthamstow Queens Road or London Underground services between Finsbury Park and Walthamstow Central and also between East Ham and Barking.

Project Information:

From spring 2018, new four-carriage electric trains will provide double the current capacity so that twice as many people can travel comfortably on this route.

This project is part of the London Railway Upgrade Plan, creating new connections and increasing capacity in peak hour by 30 per cent.
