Description

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work in the Newcastle area, closing various lines.

CrossCountry

Services to / from Scotland that call at Newcastle will be extended by a few minutes. Services between Southampton Central / Reading and Newcastle will start terminate at Durham.

TransPennine Express

Most services between Liverpool Lime Street / Manchester Airport and Newcastle will not run between York and Newcastle. As a result Thirsk, Northallerton, Darlington Durham and Chester-le-Street will have a greatly reduced service.

Customers should use other operators services between York and Darlington, Durham and Newcastle.

Replacement coaches will operate between Newcastle and Durham via Chester-le-Street.

Virgin Trains East Coast

Services will be diverted, extending the journey times of Northbound services by 15 minutes.

Services from Edinburgh will run 15 minutes earlier than normal but will run as scheduled from Newcastle.
