New Year's Day - Overnight early morning train services from London

Many thousands of New Year revellers will be welcoming 2018 in the centre of London. Events taking place include the London New Year's Eve Fireworks which will continue into the early hours of the morning.

To help get you home after your night out, a number of train operators that serve the capital will be running special train services in the early hours of New Year's Day, Monday 1 January.

There will be the following early morning trains after midnight on the morning of Monday 1 January from London Fenchurch Street:

00:11 London Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness
00:41 London Fenchurch Street - Southend Central

Chiltern Railways

There will be the following early morning trains on Monday 1 January from London Marylebone:

00:30 London Marylebone - Banbury
01:00 London Marylebone - High Wycombe
01:30 London Marylebone - Oxford
01:40 London Marylebone - Aylesbury (via Amersham)
02:00 London Marylebone - Aylesbury (via High Wycombe)
02:30 London Marylebone - Banbury
02:40 London Marylebone - Aylesbury (via Amersham)
03:00 London Marylebone - Aylesbury (via High Wycombe)

Great Northern

Early morning trains are planned to run on the following routes from midnight until approximately 02:30, please check the Journey Planner for timings:

London Kings Cross to Hertford North
London Kings Cross to Cambridge
London Kings Cross to Welwyn Garden City
London Kings Cross to Letchworth Garden City
London Kings Cross to Peterborough

Great Western Railway

Trains will run from London Paddington to Reading after midnight until 04:15. 

There will be departures from London Paddington approximately every half hour, stopping at Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton, Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford. Please check the Journey Planner for timings.

London Overground

A service every 20 minutes will run:

London Liverpool Street - Enfield Town
London Liverpool Street - Chingford
Stratford - Richmond
Stratford - Clapham Junction

London Northwestern Railway

The following overnight services will run early in the morning on New Year's Day. All trains will call at Harrow & Wealdstone, Bushey and Watford Junction, and most will also call at Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Tring, Cheddington, Leighton Buzzard, Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central. 02:04 London Euston - Watford Junction

South Western Railway

Extra trains will run on the following routes during the early hours of New Year’s Day:

London Waterloo to Kingston (via Richmond and Twickenham)
London Waterloo to Kingston (via Wimbledon)
London Waterloo to Woking
London Waterloo to Basingstoke (one service)

Southeastern

Early morning trains will run from London Victoria to locations including:

Orpington
Dartford via Bexleyheath
Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal
Dartford via Sidcup
Sevenoaks
Ashford International.

There will be no Southeastern services from London Charing Cross or London Cannon Street due to major engineering work.

Southern

Trains will operate between 02:00 and 05:00 on Monday 1 January from London Victoria to East Croydon via Selhurst.

TfL Rail

No trains will run due to engineering work. However, early morning buses will run from Stratford to Romford.

Thameslink

Trains will operate in the early hours of Monday 1 January on the following routes:

London Bridge to Sutton via Mitcham Junction
London St Pancras International to St Albans
