Great Western Railway

Engineering work is taking place between Newbury and Theale throughout all four days. Also between Theale and Reading West, and between Westbury and Newbury, from 22:00 to 04:55 each night. The lines will be closed while this work is taking place.

Between Bedwyn/Newbury and Reading/London Paddington

Until 22:00 each night:

Trains between Bedwyn/Newbury and London Paddington will operate between Theale and London Paddington only, and will run at peak times only.

Local trains between Bedwyn/Newbury and Reading will operate between Theale and Reading only.

Buses will replace trains between Bedwyn/Newbury and Theale to connect with the amended train services.

Buses will also run direct between Pewsey and Swindon/Westbury to connect with train services.

After 22:00 each night:

Local trains between Bedwyn/Newbury and Reading will be replaced by road transport.

High speed services between London Paddington and the West of England

The services that are normally routed via Newbury, will be diverted to run via Swindon and Melksham.

Between Swindon and Westbury

Due to the diversion of some services between London Paddington and the West of England over the route between Swindon and Westbury via Melksham, a number of trains between Swindon and Westbury/Frome will not be able to run. Other services may be retimed.

Road transport will operate between Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge and Westbury in lieu of the cancelled trains.
