Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stirling and Alloa, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Stirling and Alloa.

Stirling station will have a reduced capacity during these works, which will mean the following services are affected:

Monday to Friday:

The 06:50 and 08:49 Glasgow Queen Street to Dunblane services will terminate at Stirling.

The 07:10 Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness service will make an extra stop at Bridge of Allan at 07:40.

The 09:08 Glasgow Queen Street to Dundee service will make an extra stop at Bridge of Allan at 09:39.

The 08:13 Dunblane to Glasgow Queen Street service will depart at 08:06, and will not call at Bridge of Allan.

Project Information:

Over the four weeks, engineers will be working from Stirling to Alloa along the six miles of the route, installing 261 masts, and supporting cantilevers, and stringing overhead power cables.

The project is part of the wider programme to electrify the lines linking Stirling, Alloa and Dunblane to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
