CrossCountry between Aberdeen and Penzance

East Midlands Trains between Leeds and London St Pancras International

Northern between Scarborough / Bridlington / Hull / Goole and Sheffield, and also between Huddersfield / Leeds and Nottingham

TransPennine Express between Cleethorpes and Manchester Airport

Engineering work is taking place between Meadowhall and Sheffield closing all lines.

CrossCountry / East Midlands Trains

Trains are diverted and journey times will be extended by up to 15 minutes between Wakefield Westgate / Doncaster and Sheffield.


All day replacement buses will run between:

  • Rotherham Central and Sheffield calling at Meadowhall
  • Wakefield Kirkgate / Barnsley and Sheffield

Until 11:30, trains that run between Scarborough / Bridlington and Sheffield are diverted via but not calling at Rotherham Central or Meadowhall.

From 11:30, trains that run between Scarborough / Bridlington and Sheffield will run between Scarborough / Bridlington and Meadowhall. Customers should use replacement buses between Meadowhall and Sheffield.

TransPennine Express 

All day, trains are diverted between Doncaster and Sheffield and will not call at Meadowhall.

Customers should travel via Sheffield and use Stagecoach Supertram to / from Meadowhall.

Customers will have to purchase a separate ticket to use the Supertram.
