Description

Engineering work is taking place between Severn Tunnel Junction and Bristol Parkway, closing all lines.

Arriva Trains Wales:

Services are not affected on Saturday. On Sunday, replacement buses will run between Newport and Severn Tunnel Junction, connecting with train services to / from Cardiff Central and Gloucester / Cheltenham Spa.

CrossCountry:

Saturday:

The 07:00 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly and 17:05 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central services will be diverted to run between Manchester Piccadilly and Bristol Temple Meads. 

Sunday:

Trains will be replaced by buses between Severn Tunnel Junction and Newport.

Great Western Railway:

Replacement buses will run between Newport and Bristol Parkway. 

An amended timetable will be in operation between Cardiff Central and London Paddington with trains being diverted via Gloucester (not calling).

Services between Cardiff Central and Taunton / Portsmouth Harbour / Brighton will be amended to start from / terminate at Bristol Parkway.

On Saturday, services between London Paddington / Swindon and Cheltenham Spa will mostly run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only, with the except of two trains in the morning to London Paddington, and 1 evening departure from London Paddington.

Rail connections are available between London Paddington and Swindon.

Other services in the Bristol / Cardiff area will be amended, diverted or cancelled.
