Description

Trains on the Thameslink and Great Northern network continue to be subject to alteration or cancellation as the new timetable is implemented.

Customer Advice:
Check before you travel on Great Northern and Thameslink as short notice alterations are expected.

Travelling on Mondays to Fridays:
It is expected that the online journey planners will be updated by 20:00 on the Sunday of each week to show the short term amended timetable operating on the following Monday to Friday services. Services shown are expected to run, but there may be some additional alterations,so please check your journey as close to your time of departure as possible.

On some routes where there are extended gaps between trains, Thameslink and Great Northern will be supplementing the train service with additional buses.

It is vital that you recheck your train as close to the time of your journey as possible using journey planner or live departures.

Travelling on Saturdays and Sundays:
Revised timetables showing the services Thameslink and Great Northern intend to run are available here; however, these timetables do not include any alterations due to Network Rail improvement work. A list of planned engineering work is shown here. It is expected that journey planners will be updated by 20:00 the day before travel, but there may be other on-the-day alterations. It is therefore vital that you recheck your train as close to the time of your journey using journey planner or live departures.
