Description

Engineering work is taking place between Birmingham International and Coventry, closing all lines until 12:00 on Monday.

CrossCountry:

Trains will be diverted, and will not call at Birmingham International or Coventry. Journey times will not be affected by these diversions. Replacement buses will run between Birmingham International, Coventry and Leamington Spa.

London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway:

Two trains per hour will run between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street. Replacement buses will run between Rugby and Birmingham International. Buses will also operate between Coventry and Nuneaton.

Virgin Trains:

Virgin Trains will operate an amended timetable:

Saturday:

  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Birmingham International and Edinburgh or Glasgow Central.
  • 2 trains per hour (in each direction) between Preston and Glasgow Central.
  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Birmingham International and Manchester Piccadilly.

Sunday:

  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Birmingham International and Edinburgh or Carlisle. Replacement buses will run between Carlisle and Glasgow Central until 17:00. After this, services will run to / from Glasgow Central.
  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Birmingham International and Manchester Piccadilly.

Monday:

  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Birmingham International and Edinburgh or Glasgow Central.
  • 1 train per hour (in each direction) between Preston and Glasgow Central.
  • Until 12:00, 1 train per hour in each direction will run between Birmingham International and Manchester Piccadilly. After 12:00, this service will run between Rugby and Manchester Piccadilly.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, replacement buses will run between Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham International.

Customers travelling between London and Birmingham can use Chiltern Railway services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street.

Customers travelling between London and Rugby can use East Midlands Trains services between London St Pancras and Kettering. Replacement buses will run between Kettering and Rugby.

Customers travelling between London and Manchester can use London North Eastern Railway services between London Kings Cross and Leeds, and TransPennine Express services between Leeds and Manchester Piccadilly.

Customers travelling between London and Glasgow Central can use London North eastern Railway services between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh.
