Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Gerrards Cross / Oxford / Banbury / Aylesbury / Birmingham Moor Street / Birmingham Snow Hill / Kidderminster

Chiltern Railways

Engineering work is taking place between South Ruislip and Denham, closing all lines. As a result, Chiltern Railways will operate a heavily amended timetable.

Trains will run as below:

  • An hourly service will operate between London Marylebone (diverted over an alternate route) - Banbury - stations to Birmingham Snow Hill.
  • An hourly service between Gerrards Cross - stations to Birmingham Snow Hill.
  • Two trains per hour between Gerrards Cross - stations to Oxford.
  • Two trains per hour between London Marylebone - Amersham (for connecting buses to / from High Wycombe) - Aylesbury - Aylesbury Vale Parkway (for connecting buses to / from Bicester Village).
  • An service between London Marylebone - stations to Amersham - stations to Aylesbury.
  • Shuttle train service between Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon.


Replacement buses will run between:

  • Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury.
  • Gerrards Cross - Denham - Hillingdon (for connecting London Underground Metropolitan Line service to / from Baker Street) - West Ruislip (for connecting London Underground Central Line services).

Ticket acceptance:

Valid tickets can be uses on London Underground services:

  • Metropolitan Line between Hillingdon, Amersham and stations to Baker Street.
  • Bakerloo Line between Wembley Park and stations to Oxford Circus.
  • Central Line between West Ruislip and Oxford Circus.
