Amended Great Western Railway services from Monday 12 to Thursday 15 November

Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central, and also between Gunnislake and Exeter St Davids

Engineering work is taking place at various points on the Great Western Railway network, closing some lines.

As a result, the following trains will be amended:


  • The 21:03 London Paddington to Plymouth service will depart Newton Abbot at 00:01 (Tuesday) and run 7 minutes later than usual beyond.

Monday to Wednesday:

  • The 23:27 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads service will be diverted, taking up to 5 minutes later than usual between Severn Tunnel Junction and Patchway.

Wednesday and Thursday:

  • The 22:21 Gunnislake to Exeter St Davids service will combine with the 23:55 Paignton to Exeter St Davids service. Both will depart Newton Abbot at 00:21 (Thursday / Friday), and arrive at Exeter St Davids later than usual.


  • The 22:45 London Paddington to Swansea service will take up to 5 minutes longer than usual between Patchway and Severn Tunnel Junction.
