Description

Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Swindon, closing all lines.

This work will affect long distance and local journeys through the affected area.

London Paddington - Cardiff - Swansea: Trains will be diverted between Reading and Bristol Parkway, and will not call at Didcot Parkway or Swindon. They will call additionally at Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads. The 19:00 London Paddington to Swansea service will not run.

London Paddington - Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond): A reduced frequency service will run. Trains will be diverted between Reading and Bath Spa, and will not call at Didcot Parkway, Swindon or Chippenham.

Swindon - Bristol Temple Meads: An hourly train service will run, calling at Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.

London Paddington - Cheltenham Spa: Trains will run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only.

London Paddington - Didcot Parkway: Additional trains will operate from mid-morning until evening between London Paddington, Reading and Didcot Parkway.

Reading - Didcot Parkway - Swindon: Buses will run between Reading and Swindon (taking 60-65 minutes), and between Didcot Parkway and Swindon (taking 50-55 minutes).
