Transport for Wales;

More trains than usual are currently undergoing repairs at Transport for Wales depots. This is a result of damage to wheels caused by seasonal conditions. A majority of trains have now been repaired and are back in service.

Today, trains between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno will be replaced by road transport.

Additionally today, a shortage of train drivers means a reduced service is running on the following routes:

  • Cardiff Central and Holyhead
  • Pembroke Dock / Fishguard Harbour / Milford Haven and Carmarthen
  • Carmarthen and Swansea
  • Cardiff Central and Gloucester / Cheltenham Spa

Replacement road transport has been arranged to run in place of cancelled services where possible.

Customers are advised that replacement road transport may run later than the advertised train times, owing to the additional time taken by road between stations and the time required for loading and unloading at each stop.

Customers are requested to check station signs and wait for replacement road transport at the designated stop.
