Station Message: Alert!

From 8 to 23 April 2017 the platforms at Bath Spa will be reconstructed, straightened and lengthened in preparation for brand new, longer trains which will enter service later this year. The work will include making the platforms wider and will also reduce the stepping distance to and from trains.

In addition to this, the station car park will be closed until 30 April to allow Network Rail to access the platforms. Alternative car parks are available at Southgate, Manvers Street and Avon Street. The drop off point and the Blue Badge Parking spaces will remain open.

Whilst this reconstruction work is taking place, it will reduce the number of trains that can call at or pass through the station. Many services between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads (in either direction) will be diverted and not call at Bath Spa. For some dates trains will be replaced by buses for part of the journey. More information available on the GWR website.

Station Message: Alert!

Passengers are advised that the westbound platform has a severe step between the train and the platform from the front 3 train carriages.
