A major overhaul to the escalators is taking place at London Kings Cross. This means the escalator between the mezzanine footbridge and platform 8 are out of order until 6 February. There is still step-free access available between the station concourse and all platforms.
Between Monday 26 January 2026 and Spring 2026, the First Class Lounge at London Kings Cross will be closed for major refurbishment and improvement work. You can read more about this on the LNER website.
