Platform 1 (to London) - step free access from car park via street and level crossing and up the ramp on the platform. Step free access from Racecourse entrance, but uneven grassy path, not suitable for wheelchairs. Platform 2 (to Lewes) - Step-free access via 22mm small step, ramp and side gate. Mobility-impaired passengers are advised to book in advance. Access from street to Ticket Office via 4 steps, although alternative route via side gate and platform 2. Access from Racecourse entrance to platform 2 is via footbridge with steps only. Access from northern (footpath) entrance to station is via steps only to all areas.
