Lifts

We are very pleased to be able to open the lifts which will assist passenger access to the platforms.

Accessible station access

Putney station remains non-accessible for wheelchair users until we have completed the work to the station front on installing a DDA compliant entrance. We are working closely with Wandsworth Borough Council on the design of the entrance, and hope to have some progress very soon.

The entrance is a complicated area to re-design due to the height and angle of the existing footpath and the different constructions of the road and rail bridges.

Gateline Relocation

On Monday 10th November, work will start on the re-location of the gateline, which will also include a number of enhancements to how they operate.

These enhancements will allow us to alter the direction that all of the gates can be opened so we can adjust the flow to suit the time of day.

We will also be installing an extra wide gate to further improve the flow through the gateline.

Once installed, Putney will have 2 wide and 6 normal gates.

Throughout the move Oyster users should use the gates that are left in the booking hall for touching in and out.

New Station power supply

The new station power supply is being installed now, and this will allow us to install a full range of future enhancements at the station, including new retail opportunities.

This work will take a few months to complete and will see a small alteration to the front of the station in place of the closed retail unit.
