Upcoming changes to step-free access:
From Monday 17 August, there will be reduced step-free access at Durham station due to a major lift refurbishment.
The lift on Platform 1 at Durham (for trains to Darlington and the south) is out of service and is expected to be available from Friday 9 October. If you require step-free access to and from this platform a temporary pedestrian route is available. Please allow extra time before your journey if you require step-free access and speak to staff if you need assistance.
The lift on platform 2 is out of order at Durham station. If you require step-free access you should travel to Darlington or Newcastle.
