Station Message: Alert!

Northampton redevelopment

A new station at Northampton will open in the summer of 2014, following a £30m development project.  You can follow the progress of the rebuild at www.northamptonstation.co.uk

Whilst the existing station will remain open and fully functional during the construction of the new station, there will be closures to some of the car park areas  plus disabled parking spaces and taxi drop off points will be relocated.

Alternative car parking

Our 700 space car park gets full by around 7.30am on weekdays, and it’s limited after about 11.30am on Saturdays (Sundays are fine).   If you’re unable to find a space you can use the alternative council-operated car parks – just a 2 minute drive away – Chalk Lane and Doddridge Street (please visit www.londonmidland.com/northampton to view a map).

If you hold a London Midland/Meteor car park ticket your pass will be valid in both Chalk Lane and Doddridge St car parks, if you don’t have an existing ticket then you will need to buy one, please note that the council don’t operator a ‘pay by mobile’ option and their machines only take coins.  The station is a 3-5 minute walk away.
