Station Message: Alert!

As part of the ongoing remodelling of Reading station Network Rail are carrying out improvement work until Summer 2015.

During this time the Stations Made Easy map of the station will be out of date, a temporary map of Reading station is available here.

In the next few months platforms 1-3 & 7 -11 will be refurbished, with lengthened platforms to create room for longer trains, new platform canopies and better waiting room facilities. This August, platform 11 will enter into service as platform 7 is taken out of use temporarily to allow for upgrade works. Platform 7 will be in use again from September 2013 (but will be a shorter temporary platform until Christmas 2013 - as a result passengers at Reading will be unable to alight or board coaches G and H on West of England services).

Customers who are familiar with the current platform numbers will need to check notices, posters or ask a member of staff to ensure they are on the correct platform for their destination. Or alternatively contact our customer relations team on 08457 000 125.
