Concessionary Travel

Some local authorities or councils offer schemes that let eligible residents, for example those who are elderly or disabled, use public and community transport services at a discounted rate or for free

About concessionary travel

As well as being available for disabled or elderly residents, there are some concessionary travel schemes for other groups, such as young people, job seekers or veterans. Eligible residents will often be provided with a bus pass but in some areas this can also be used for rail travel.

You can find more information on selected concessionary travel schemes below.
