Group Travel

It’s better when we go together!

Groups of at least 3 people can get discounts on train tickets.

Question: what could be more fun than travelling by train?

Answer: travelling by train with lots of your friends and family! Plus, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to get a group discount in order to buy a cheaper train ticket.

In addition to our Railcards for individual, couple or family travel, most train companies offer discounts for groups of 3 or more people travelling together. Larger groups of 10 or more people may even get additional discounts when booking tickets directly. Contact your train company for more information.

GroupSave – discounts for groups of 3 to 9

Buy GroupSave tickets and save up to 1/3 on UK rail fares if you’re travelling in a group of 3 to 9 people.

What is GroupSave?

GroupSave offers a discount of up to 1/3 off for adults travelling on a single or return journey at off-peak or super off-peak times when they travel in a group of 3 to 9 people.

You don’t need any physical cards like you may use with some Railcards – instead make sure you’re travelling with the whole group you booked for to ensure your tickets are valid!

More information, including which train companies you can travel with, can be found on our GroupSave page.
